WDF is taking a 6 month break from staging events in Guernsey and Jersey to take time to restructure the organisation before announcing plans for 2018.

  • Anne Ewing is the former Chair of the Institute of Directors Guernsey Branch and is a full time non-executive director sitting on boards of investment companies and a well-established Guernsey charitable organisation. Anne is a corporate governance specialist and regular presenter on regulatory and corporate governance subjects and is author of related articles in business journals. When not dealing in the business world, Anne can be found working alongside her husband on their 12 acre renewal energy project.

  • Carol Goodwin has extensive experience in the finance industry, having managed banks in Toronto, Montreal, Amsterdam, Nassau and Guernsey. Carol blazed a trail for women on boards by becoming managing director of Investec Bank (Channel Islands) in 1994. She is still a director of Investec and also vice chairman of another Guernsey bank, as well as a non-executive director of several listed and unlisted investment and property companies, including formerly a FTSE 250 listed investment fund. Carol is a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers, a Trust and Estate Practitioner and a Chartered Director of the Institute of Directors.

     

  • Michelle Johansen is a coach, group facilitator and workshop leader who founded the Women’s Development Forum in 2009, after leaving her corporate career in the finance industry. Michelle previously spent 27 years in management and leadership positions, with the last 10 as COO and only female board director at Credit Suisse Fund Administration. Having spent the last 9 years working promoting greater gender diversity Michelle is now apprenticed to a FTSE listed fund as part of the Board Apprentice Scheme.

  • Dominic Wheatley is Chief Executive of Guernsey Finance, the promotional agency for Guernsey's finance industry. His role includes business development and the promotion of Guernsey's finance industry in the Island's target markets including Europe, the US and the emerging markets, technical research to support promotional activities and liaison with industry associations and government.

    Previously Dominic was Chief Marketing Officer of the Willis Global Captive Practice and Managing Director of its Guernsey business. He is a fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute, a member of the Institute of Directors and holds an MBA from Warwick University. He also serves as a non-executive director on a number of local boards.
